    Cautions Before & After Surgery

    Before Surgery

    The patient may eat until 2 hours before the surgery appointment time.
    Afterwards, food must not be eaten including water.
    (For example, if the surgery appointment is on 10:00 a.m., the patient can eat until 08:00 a.m.)

    Less food shall be eaten compared to the normal meal amount.

    Consult with the surgeon when administering Aspirin.
    In most cases, administration is possible.

    If administering medication for blood pressure or diabetes, please take the medication before coming to the hospital.

    For patients taking Warfarin (Medication administered after heart valve surgery), most of the patients can receive the surgery without any problems, but must be consulted with the surgeon.


    After Surgery

    Follow the hospital’s instruction on wearing stockings.

    The patient must visit the hospital on the following day after the surgery, but in inevitable cases, the patient can visit the hospital after 7 days. For details, please consult with the attending doctor.

    Bruises on the leg after surgery are a natural therapeutic process, so the patient does not need to worry about the bruises.

    The patient can take a shower on the following day after the surgery.

    When taking other medications in the hospital, please inform the attending doctor.


    Application of Actual Expense Insurance

    Actual expense insurance is that an insurance company compensates
    for the medical expenses from the hospital!

    Along with the share by the National Health Insurance Corporation, share by the patient and the non-payment items not relevant to the national health insurance are guaranteed.
    The guarantee contents may differ depending on an insurance company, so please consult with the insurance company for details.

    Varicose Vein is a disease with disease code (i83.9), and is applied with actual expense insurance.

    In the case of hospitalization and surgery on varicose vein for the purpose of treatment and not simply for aesthetic purposes,
    it is applied to insurance (actual expense, life insurance).
    There are patient’s rooms at Central Varicose Vein Clinic, and the actual expense insurance can be applied after surgery.
